Barber was named head of "healthymagination," a GE program focusedf on improving health care for more people atreducee cost, by GE chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt. Barber, 48, is a 27-yeafr veteran of GE and sincre 2005 has served as chiefr technology officer for GE He joined GE in 1982 and has held a varietyu of roles of increasing responsibilityu withinGE Healthcare.
